The Composer: A.R.Rehman OR R.D.Burman

Dear All,

Music is my life and beats are my passion. When we praise so much Rehman we forget those who existed in past and without the help of any technology gave us such brilliant muzik that we still humm.. who can forget woh shaam mastaani...

Here is the debate.. DO u think rehman can deliver better than what R.D.Barman did if we remove the T-factor ( technology)?

We discuss great ppl becoz they are gr8.. its a tribute to their greatness if we can discuss them.. its the fundamental right of evry muzik lover to express his views.. I am the biggest fan of rehman at the same time R.D.. just trying to find out how IGT admires musik !!

 

R D Burman was too good.....................................waise A R Rehman maybe da best composer of present tyms.....................

Both are legends..
Though I have voted for RD Burman, but its needful to mention that its not easy to compare both of them..
Both have their own style of music. Both were unique in their compositions. One can say that, during RD Burman's time there was no good technology as now but at the same time u can't guarantee, that, had their been great technology,like now, RD would have surpassed Rehman... While judging someone, both must be tested on the same platform or rather same conditions... :aggre:

 

well said bsharp.. i totally agree wid.. even though i voted for R.D but R.D was also flop during his bad days.. mainly during his last days.. no one was asking abt him.. it was vidhu vinod chopra who gave him a break in movie 1942 A love story and he died like a hero.. he also used technology.. he brought GUITAR to indian movie music.. can't forget the intro to song Dum maro dum..
