I stopped playing in band after my school band. These days my aim is to become a superb guitarist, solo. A band would only be secondary for me.

i play solo w/ my friend...my friend, Hetal, he sings. and i play my accoustic....we only play desi music...cause it sounds sweet.....the only things we use...is my accoustic...the accoustic amp....sometimes they wire my guitar....and a mic to sing into...lol......well,,i met him though a class...first time in college....hadn't had any desi friends in High School....so i m in this math class...and this kid in the back keep on answering waht our teacher is asking.....so i was like wtf...i can do this shit too...so we started having a competition and our teacher sat us 2gether and told us to do some problems...ever since we are the best buddies and he is also my bands lead sing....lol(what band).....he usually perform in colleges....like in cultural shows....my colleges cultural show is this coming summer...so can't wait....thinking what should i perform :think:

Back to the topic, it's mine and tejas' dream to start a band together. We havent been able to locate a drummer or a bassist yet. Nor have we decided upon the name of the band. All in good time, i guess.

 

*sigh* yeah... a drummer and bassist, two very rare musicians to locate. I've been trying to search for them myself, but all I've found till now are already in some band or other.

 

yea, hard to find, atleast where i'm living...the best way is to teach a friend to play whose interested..

my band broke up
we were called "Silent Storms" n played blues n soft rock.

 

thats only in india.. i wonder why..

good vocalists are the toughest to locate here in USA.

my advice.. start your band then look for the bass player and drummer, and not vice versa

hey, its easy to find a drummer out here in mumbai, india....there are plenty of them!! i dunno abt bass players but i have a friend who is a bass player...i'll start a band but i have to perfect first!!

and any one hardly plays punk rock here...u'll find of bunch of rockers here....others are posers.

 

u will never start a band that way.. if u wanna become perfect first.
form a band with people of your level, then get better together.
