This is a dubbed movie in Tamil from the Telugu original Gitanjali (I think) - But the songs are hit.

The song is set in Melodic Minor scale with C Minor as the root chord.

The Melodic Minor Scale notes are similar to the carnatic raga - Gowrimanohari.

The famous raga which gave the song "Paattum Naane Bhaavamum Naane" in the epic film "Thiruvilaiyadal"

The raga goes like s r2 g2 m1 p d2 n3 S and we play this as

The melody uses n2 freely and m2 in one place, i.e A# and F# respectively.

i think from mpov... at certain points strings needed to slide.. that makes the play much better.. which is not mentioned in the notes.. just my view
