Presenting the tabs for the full song - Kangal Irandal from Subramaniapuram.

The song is set in Reetigowlai Ragam - A raga with unique note structure and easily identified due to this uniqueness.

The raga notes details are seen in the attached file. Don't get afraid of the raga notes.

The song is fairly simple to play. The tabs are given assuming 's' as 'D'.

Pick, Play and Enjoy.... and do post your comments............. Sathya

Thanks Pearl and Siva, the perfectness is due to the correct fitting of tune, lyrics and the raga. Very rarely we get such pure fittings. Such songs are good for instruments and also stay popular for longer time............. Sathya

Yes. CKA song is something special as Balamurali Krishna sung it for IR and the BGM is a ever delightful one, especially the flute........ Sathya

I heard... through ppl of that era saying... that BalamuraliKrishna... is not at all interested in singing cinema songs... and that too especially of IRs composition !!! but after hearing the composition... he was just astonished about the handling the Ragam by IR... and sang...

is that true... can some1 confirm ?

I know only that BMK was surprised on the way in which the song was composed - particularly the chosen ragam and the BGM. He did not expect that IR would compose like this and then it was IR's early days as a musician. The song could have been in any other ragam, but the choice of Reetigowlai and the BGM took BMK by surprise........... Sathya
