Suggestions on how each chords has to be played

Hello to all IGT Members. I am very new to guitar and IGT. I bought this book which tells how each chords has to be played with pictures. Which are the basic chords that i must start with?. I can play C, Cmaj, G so far. Also, i try to read a lot on this forum, esp the beginner tutorials, but i find them hard to understand :/... any suggestions as to what i should do.
I think i should try to learn all the basic chords, which you guys will tell me :>, and then try to practice shifting from one chord to another. After that i should worry about other stuff?

yeah also learn the most important thing...scaling...minor scales and major scales...good luck

 

what is scaling? does it mean playing major and minor chords?

 

haha no no refer to the biggeners section plz...

 

searched the whole forum coulding find a tut on scaling :<... is it something to do with controling the pitch of the chord or something? sorry for bugging you with stupid questions.
