Keeping metal in mind, a Schecter Omen 6 is what you need..

Low-end ESP LTD guitars are said to be crap, and the same as the Ibanez GRG series. The Schecter is a decent guitar in your budget and is meant for metal so it will work out for you. BUT, don't buy it only on my recommendation, TRY it with your Laney and see if it's suits your playing..

At that budget, you might get a real good second hand guitar too. I found a Dean Evo Noir up for sale in Mumbai.
Take your time in inspecting and evaluating used guitars and make sure you play it to your heart's content before buying... There was an Ibanez SA 220 too out here in IGT which seemed like a nice guitar...

^Yeah, you can go for a second hand guitar if you find one. Also, I remembered another decent Hard Tail guitar, the Ibanez RG321MH.
