Suggest me some Popular rock/heavy metal songs which are simple to play. (e.g. Drive, Smells Like teen spirit, Zombie) ? Have to pull off a fast one with the band and having really less time for practice. PS: Its urgent.
Lots of songs are easy to do but they aren't really easy to do well, you need to practice together to get that tightness in the band. Good luck...I'll give you some popular numbers: It's My Life- Bon Jovi Run to you- Bryan Adams Smoke on the Water- Deep Purple (this song isn't actually easy but if you keep the opening riff right, people are usually happy) Californication- RHCP (you might try Other Side too)
you can play nothing else matters... quite an easy song or fade to black a little tricky but ull pull it of with some practice
Dude, you havent mentioned whether you want a fast tempo one ... racy song ... slow number ... ? etc Taht needs to be specified to :
Racy would be preferable .. but again has to be easy .. We've lost a guitarist to USA .. and the backup guitarist is kinda a beginner .. shoot ..
Be yourself --- Audio slave ( plenty of wah !!! ) eye of the tiger -- survivor I'll be there ( Friends theme ) -- rembrants
Runaway - Bon Jovi : one of the raciest, but has fair bit of lead work (which you can always substitute/eliminate). MFC - Pearl Jam : again racy (also because the song is about cars has very simple leads. Space Truckin - very tight song. Eliminate leads. Vocals - haha, need some effort. Roll with it - Oasis : No leads (as far as I remember). Children of the Grave - Black Sabbath : wooooooooo Dreams of Mirror - Iron Maiden : not racy, but good variation of loud and quite passages, and well you can again remove teh leads entirely, wont make any diff to the song. Metallica (actually these songs are not their originals) These songs either dont have any leads, or the leads dont matter. Suicide Solution - Ozzy Osbourne Ofcourse my favorite raciest song(s) would be: Highway Star, Burn, Long Live Rock'n'Roll, Starstruck but then ... oh my, if only someone could cover them properly.
Arre.. just play 'Smells like teen spirit' or 'Come as you are'... No one complains and any beginner can learn them overnight!
