string changing?

    do we need 2 change da string of guitar??.if so,when??..after playing for an year or so, my guitar strings don't sound lively.

    I think you just answered your own question. When you think your guitar strings don't sound as good as they did before, change them. I typically change my strings once in 3-4 months.

    P.S. I'd change them more often if I could afford it. :p:

    yes ...you do need to change the strings once they die out .. i change them once a month (used to do that even more often) .. but ofcourse .. as frequently as you can easily afford to ..

    so wat kind of strings u choose for ur guitar ,i mean wat shuld be checked while buying??....

    Well first of all, u should decide what kinda music ur playing. If u need some powerful sound, you should buy heavy guaged strings, like 11s or 12s. But if you play fast notes like shredding or tremolo, then u should go for light guages like 8s or 7s if u can find em. Guages, i think, is the answer to ur question.
