I use a cube 40 for bass. It is ample. More than you can handle.

    Even 6 watts is sufficient.

You need to specify your requirements first, how large an area you need to vibrate with your bass?

The stranger 80w is a nice amp for bass. If you are going in for Stranger go in for The stranger 80w. What Apha said is correct.. evn somthing as low as 8 watts or ten watts will do.. But an 80W amp will give you more clarity...Many Bassist who use strangers use an 80Ws.
