close this thread NOW! i cant stand this...no more! i wudn't miss it the next time he comes to newhere in asia! in btw...i've seen Billy Sheehan on stage with paul gilbert...he's gr8 2..
@sayanak... or in other words, you prefer joe satriani to steve vai... See, that sounds so much more mature. Welcome to IGT. @abhay... naah... he just made the audience get a good laugh at poor britney's expense... not that i mind it a bit... ) @jayanth... ya tony played all through, except for the solo performances by each band member... attitude song and for the love of god and their tremolo performance was perhaps the best moments all nite.. @6String... like jayanth said, sheehan is god.
No... this was separate from the songs... it came before for the love of god and attitude song... Anyway, the best moments of the night for me... 1. Meeting Steve Vai. 2. When Tony MacAlpine began the sitar part of for the love of god on his keyboard and the rest of the song. 3. The call for encore by the stamping of feets and the encore performance of Attitude Song. 4. His dig at britney spears 5. Steve's solo performance on his triple neck. and many more... but these moments I'll never forget.
I went to the G3 concert here in Nashville, Tennessee, featuring Malmsteem, Satriani and Steve Vai. I just can't describe it in words so I won't even try! btw hearing Vai play "whispering a prayer" live was one of the best moments.
ananth, you're lucky. I've just seen 1/3 of the G3 trio perform and i rate it the best moment of my life.
I've many of their Dvd's Malmstein Instruction video blew me off.. now just a concert is left to be watched..
Its as surprising to me as when people say they do not know who Michael Romeo is, or Kai Hansen. Nothing unusual... some people just are not exposed to this kind of music... so do not blame them for that.
this site was created for those who want INDIAN GUITAR TABS... steve vai and other people should actualy be secondary on this site ... but we mention him coz hes great and we can improve just by even listenin to his stuff and attempt to play it.. so plz excuse his ignorance.....i bet hes got better knowledge in hindi songs than he has on rock, metal, jazz, blues guitar players..so why the fuss... he knows enough ..he s only got to learn more..
