chintan9 yay! i won the ipod!

Steve Morse arguably has the best right hand in the world. His picking is fast, clean and super super tight.

+ HE uses a tone that is not super gainy.
Shredding on a cleanish tone is more difficult that shred on distorted tone, coz all teh picking and frettign nuances come out (which have to be perfect).

steve morse is banned from winning guitar player mag's "Best Guitarist of the Year" award
cos he won it five years in a row and they had to give other people a chance.
high tension wires is the most awesome prog album i've heard in a while.

    STEVE MORSE ROCKS!!!

His work with DP is best to my ears.

    The albums are excellent.
The Dregs albums are more jazz/fusion-Mahavishnu types.
The solo albums are more experimental and traditional 'guitar music'.
Stressfest is very good. Also Major Impacts I and II where he does songs in the style of lots of artists..not covers but tributes...brilliant stuff.

His works with DIXIE DREGS is great too ...... the lineup for Dixie Drega and his STEVE MORSE Band is almost the same....... Also cheak out the works of his BAssist... DAVE LA RUE

I just got the Stressfest this morning so dunno.
Major Impacts are also in Queue

I feel Steve Morse's music is more inclined towards Southern Rock + Country, rather than Jazz + Rock.
    That is just my feel/opinion.
