Müved to music talk. Speed metal also qualifies as extreme metal right?
The speed metal bands that i listen to are just slayer and testament (if you call that speed metal)
And is judas priest really speed metal? Just wanted to know.

Yeah, then post in the extreme metal thread. That thread was created to save bandwith (so that people dint come up with an infinite number of threads)
By the way, know anything about the new slayer album? I dont :p:

    death_metal_fan oh goody, it's a woody!

Glad to find someone who's heard of Running Wild! What's your favorite album? Mine's Death Or Glory without question.

@shsnawada: Judas Priest could be considered speed metal (especially in view of their latest album, Painkiller and Ram It Down).

running wild i believe transcend the barriers of speed metal.
i would like to put them in the power metal category along with priest, highly vocals oriented with fast solos all over the place and a racy riff

and black wings of death from pile of skulls would be my favourite intro!

How about power metal? I always confuse between the two genres - speed metal and power metal. I guess you could say I tend more towards power metal or rather european "happy" metal. Any takers?
