1) Locked the keys in the car? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are home, call someone on your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the other person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk). Editor's Note: *It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!" 2) Imagine your cell battery is very low, you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger". Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery. To activate, key is *3370# Your cell will restart with this reserve and your instrument will show a 50% incerase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.
Dunno about the first one,.. but the second one's been around for a while now, and its total crap, doesnt work at all.
yeah ... similarly there is the number 112 which is the emergency number ... check it - u can dial it even if your mobile key pad has been locked ... but in india u cannot connect to any service provider with ... wonder if we can sue these companies ... just try doing it ... 112 + press the dial button ... u should see something like "calling emergency..." however, sadly it doesn't coennect to any one
some phones also allow 911 and 08 to be called while the phones keypad is unlocked.. phoesn ought to allow 100 and 101 in india.... i dont think the first one will work coz unlocking thingsa arent about the sound but are infrared signals (electromagnetic rays like light) that cannot be transferred over phone line - dlogic let us know the result btw... about the second - yes it does work in most nokia models... but the reserve atteries are well...reserve and usually run out in a matter of minutes...
Hey i have done it some 6 yrs back ... it works without a simcard too ... It was on a philips or semiens phone i guess ... I got connected to a police station ... Try removing ur sim and dial the number it works .. And for those codes .... They do work dude ... U can get to know ur manufacture , packed date and all that crap ..
hey thats good if u could get to the police station ... coz mine doesn't go anywhere at all ... it simply dies down ... 112 on my phone is usesless ...
