    Hey friends,

I have a problem with my Ibanez GRG 270 BKN. Two of the strings A & B have been broken in my last show. The problem is that I have lost the knob that holds it on the Tremelo Bridge (pics attatched).

Do I get a spare of it in Furtados or Bhargavas (Mumbai/Pune)?

    Plz help. Bridge.jpg Knob.jpg

It was just to make you aware of the relative size of the knob... PLz help me... I have another show on 4th of Jan. Do I get it in some spare parts shop - a single or a set?

I dont think so u get spare parts for such stuff. Its like either u go with the entire set or search for some alternative look alikes which wud do ur job...Take it to the luthier or sum spare parts shop..

Take a print out ofthat knob pic and ask for alternatives in electric, metal, Hardware all the spare parts shops that u can think off..I am sure u will find sumthing or the other which wud do the job...

The problem with the knob is that it holds the strings bob in it, without it the string can't be attached. Ok, I'll try imitating some local ade knob. Thanks.

    Problem SOLVED - HURRAY!!!!

    Hey I fixed it !!!

What I did was - I went to the local Nut & Bolts Vender. Bought a "Key Pin" of different sizes... The 4mm one fit just exactly!!! WOW.. Plugged in my new XL 120 DAddarios & it's fine...

    Thanks to all... 08122011222.jpg

Thanks Ricckyrich. In the pic - the last one (square) with the hole, is the original one - the left to it, second last has rounded edges was the one i purchased. Good, hope it doesnt come out on stage... Pray Pray.

don't tell me even after this mess up you're gonna play without a backup guitar..

I am keeping a backup guitar off course... Can't take risk. But I am more more comfortable with this one, as I am playing it since many years...
But sure It's going to be with a back up guitar...
