How do YOU tab your songs ?

    :eek:: hey all,

    i was reading this post and came across some of the site and diff SW for tabbing.. i did download guitar pro and tabedit..but since i am not that familier with comp.. i need some help in it to get started... :eek:: ...would appriciate any help..i really want to learn how to tab songs... :annoyed: its frustrating when one cant find the songs they want. i am just starting out on guitar so not so good in music dept to tab on my own..plss pls pls...

    @ tejas:... if u hav ne of the gp series, that 3, 4 or 5... u can dwnload tabs from www.mysongbook.com , or sum website similar 2 that... and that site has more tabs on it than the powertab site.

    if you have limewire or warez or any p2p software you can download a zip file of 23000 tabs in one go. that is if you have broadband!! file size is around 50 mb.

    If you use Guitar Pro, You need not know Tabs, wot you need is the ability to recognise the notes. At first, do not try to make hard songs or solos, try to make very easy tunes, like Airtel(Just an example). If you find using the fretboard is too tough, use the Keyboard provided. When you will be able to make the easy ones, then go for the harder ones.
    One more thing... Don't get fooled by the stave notation, if you do not understand (Still now, I don't:)) stave, then you need not have to care for it. JUST USE THE KEYBOARD PROVIDED.

    And TABBING! It is very easy with GP. Just make the Music with GP, then Export it in ASCII format and save as txt file..

    manual tabs

    I usually do manual tabing as I findit helps me with learning and remembering the different position of notes on the neck. I think it's the difference between you eating urself or somebody is putting in ur mouth. Yes if you doing a lot of tabbing to save time then I might go for some software:beer: :beer:
