I know it's kinda old but i liked it and sounded really nice...

    Opening chordial solo:

Dmaj followed by Dsus2 and then onto Amaj and then Dsus4

    C G F G
I would have given you all of my heart
    C G F G
But there's someone who's torn it apart
    C G F
And she's taken all that I had
    G C G F
But, if you want, I'll try to love again
    G C F G
Baby I'll try to love again but I know

    Chorus :

    C G F
The first cut is the deepest
    G C G F G
Baby, I know, the first cut is the deepest
    C G F G
When it comes to being lucky she's cursed
    C F G
When it comes to loving me she's worse

    2nd verse:

I still want you by my side
Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried
And I'm sure gonna give you a try
And, if you want, I'll try to love again
Baby I'll try to love again but I know

    Chorus:

it was not written by saul hudson (AKA slash) ... i was written by one william bruce rose (aka W . AXL ROSE) for his then girlfriend erin . i know nothing can touch slash's riffs and axls vocals dude ... this was for a friend who wants to play the song and she really cannot be expected to imitate axls voice so i suggested crow's version . And although it fades in comparison to the original .... i think sheryl managed a pretty decent sound . Can you suggest names of any other female recording artist (maybe with the exception of alanis morrisette) who'd even have the guts to do a cover for sweet child o' mine .... let alone sound anywhere half decent ?
