Where did you read/hear about this "semi artificial" harmonics? Technically there is nothing artificial about harmonics. It is as real as an open string vibrating.
Semi-Harmonic Semi-harmonics are almost identical to pinch harmonics. The only real difference is you don't completely deaden the fundamental note. It requires you to just barely brush your thumb against the string after picking. Whoa! Does it actually work?
