yeah,., got a few scratches on the fuel tank of my bike.. looks bad.. how do i get em off?? i tired the waxpol polish thingy but it dosent work at all.. any help??
Painting costs alot i guess. Show it to some mechanic and ask for suggestions. Just dont tell him to do anythn on the bike.
me too facing the same problem.. scratches on fuel tank, both right indicators gone, last night met with an accident so.. tail lamp bhi gaya aur side panel bhi.. :cry2: meri bike ki bahut buri halat hai.. :
eer.. naah arnnie.. mast incident.. ciggy lene gaya raat ko.. crossed a chain barrior cuz it was invisible in the night.. and then dhoom bisssssssssshhhhhh...
If the scratch is deep enough that it shows the metal of the tank then you have no choice but to get it repainted.
made this thread in the morning.. got more scratches now.. met with an accident.. now i have to get it repainted..:
C'mon man, paintjob + denting of my bike's tank took just INR 900. AM sure only paint would be even cheaper.
Arre but I guess you gotta buy the paint yourself. Otherwise the painter charges more. Is your a metallic paint?
.. if it is scratched .. get it buffed and polished .. .. if it is scratched so much that it has made dents in the paint .. get it filled+polycarbed .. if the paint is chipped .. get it painted .. you are in india so i guess you are in luck .. these buggers here in england charge a freakin fortune for such nominal repairs .. .. lol i've got a friend he got his aprilla scratched up bad (skidded on a country raod) he just used a filler+fine sand paper to smooth out the surface, bought a 'vinyl graphic' for 5 quids and covered the grey filler .. i guess that counts as an option as well
ansh@ if u find painting expnsive do try out for bike graphics not d cheap ones but go for some authorised dealer it will always remain a cheaper option as compared to repainting so choice is urs ps--- drive safe
yes its metallic.. some one scratched the fuel tank with a pointed stone or keys or something. so i can see the nanga fuel tank..
