Drives me nuts sometimes when I see the way some of these guys handle static sensitive cmos, fets, ICs. You pay a lot for them as it is and then you may just get home with a dud because of their carelessness. As for caps I was initially using old imported ones in the amp but I found quite a few leaky ones so I replaced them with new Indian stock and I'm much happier with the results. Our caps and resistors are actually quite good. I wouldn't worry at all about them, in the case of amps these components are rated at 500V+ anyway so they tend to be solid in their construction. I wish I could do some time scaled stress testing though....
I am guessing they are all sourced from Taiwan/China. But the US rates being in dollars, it just kill you. A resistor costs something like 10 cents there and 50p/Re.1 here. Poly capacitors are Rs 3 types here but go for 60 cents there. I am attempting to balance my purchases for best quality/price ratio
www.guitarpartsresource.com If you are buying parts buy it from there. I ordered parts twice and it reached without customs!

https://www.smallbearelec.com/StoreFront.bok https://www.apexjr.com/ https://www.effectsconnection.com/oscommerce/ If you're looking for 1/4" pot knobs, you'll get them here, quite good too
Oh, guitar knobs you can get at music stores, I've seen some at Bhargava's, B'lore should have them too. I assume those are pushed onto the shaft, right? You can always use any screw clamped knob in place of a regular push on knob though
I have no clue. Bangalore doesnt have good knobs im afraid. I havent asked bobby yet. Will ask him when i go there next monday
Can you do me a favour and ask him if he can replace a floyd bridge for a new one and how much it would cost...schaller or floyd or anything decent.
