    hi people,
i have seen some of the works by various people on this song and i tell you it sounds so magical when you play this song on guitar with proper strumming.
my friend atulan saha posted this song but the scale is not right.
this song is based on morning raaga and the beauty of this song lies in the fact that the mukhda is in F#m scale and the antra is in F# scale.
i am posting the right chords for you and my work is waiting for your reps and suggestions or corrections.

i do not find posts of our older memeber like nikamma,bandbaaja,6-string addicts etc. anymore.
    guys wake up,where are you.

for the alaap or the prelude use

    F#m----------------------F-------------------------A------------F,F#m
    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, aaaaaaa

    F#m--------------F----------F#m----------A---F#m-
rainaa beetee jaaaaye, shaam naa aaaaaye
    F#----------------- B-------F#------------------B------C#
    nindeeyaa naa aaaaye,nindeeyaa naa aaaaaye
    F#m----------F--
    raina beeti jayen

    F#-------------B--------C#-----------B----F#-
shaam ko bhoolaa, shaam kaa waadaa
    F#-----B-------C#-----B-----F#-
    sang diye ke jaage raadhaa
    F#----------------- B-------F#------------------B------C#
    nindeeyaa naa aaaaye,nindeeyaa naa aaaaaye
    F#m---------F---
    raina beeti jayen

i am waiting for you reps and comments.
i have put in a lot of work for this song,so do post your feedback and any request is surely welcome.

next in the pipeline is a medley of several songs, so keep watching for this space.

    hi people,
no comments for this wonderful song.
this is not fair, bandbaaja and lalbamboo where are you guys.
these kind of songs are very rare and finding the right chords is even more difficult.

this song is somewhat based on Raag Lalit.

so guys do drop in your comments, otherwise it becomes very difficult to carry on forward.

    regards,
    souman

Good choice dude- RDda at his best. The raaga btw is todi and is an evening raaga. Chords look good will give you feedback once I have tried them out.

    surmayee bhai,
yes you are right,if you start it from "madham" then it becomes "todi" and if you take sahawat then it becomes lalit.
    what you say.
forget about the raag,do tell me how are the chords.
    regards,
    souman

The chords Souman are not correct for the first part I'm afraid. I make them F#m,Db7,D,(A),F#m. I'm sure you will work out where the changes occur. The second part is in F#major as you say and your chords are right.

A super song anyway - lets have more classical.

    dear surnayee,
i just checked out my chords with the song in the background.
your Db7 is not going with the actual note F pressed.
i have tried it several times, you please listen to the song once again.
actually if you listen carefully the sur is coming down but Db7 makes it move upward.
same is the case wirh D.
    anyway,
    thanks for your comments.
    regards,
    souman

i agree with surmayee, for mukda chords Db7, and also D7 instead of just D
    antara sounds really good,

    in between
    F#-------------B--------C#-----------B----F#-
shaam ko bhoolaa, shaam kaa waadaa

    and

    F#-----B-------C#-----B-----F#-
    sang diye ke jaage raadhaa

there is underlying string melody which makes the chord F#7

the intro is same as mukda

sarangi is in F#m Db7, latas aah part is D7 .. ending in Db7 and F#m
