Not sure of the chords yet, but the opening solo goes something like this:

    E|--------------4---6---4-------------------4----------------------
    B|---4---7--------------------7---6---7----------7---6---4---7---
    G|------------------------------------------------------------------
    D|------------------------------------------------------------------
    A|------------------------------------------------------------------
    E|------------------------------------------------------------------

    E|--------------4---6---4-------------------7---6------------------
    B|---4---7--------------------7---6---7---------------7---6---4---
    G|-------------------------------------------------------------------
    D|-------------------------------------------------------------------
    A|-------------------------------------------------------------------
    E|-------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not sure about the last few notes of the second part though. I'll try to get hold of the chords soon.

I asked a friend for the chords (Tanmoy on IGT), and he gave these:

    F# C# D#m G#

Not sure about the plaing though. He says where the rhythm starts its only G# and D#m. But he has promised to come up with the chords by tomorrow. Says something in the middle is holding him up.

Didn't have the time to check the whole song - but it seems most of the song is based on a similar structure:

    G#m------------D#m------F#---C#-----G#m----D#m----F#---C#---
    chhoo loon main .............itna kareeb
    G#m----------D#m----F#----C#-------G#m----D#m----F#----C#---
chal padoon ............. to kitna door...

In a lot of places, the G#m is replaced by a D#sus4/G# at several places, which are easily identifiable if you listen to the song...

There is a bridge somewhere towards the end of the song which has these chords...

    F#------------------A#m-----Bm------------------F#--
udne ko sau pankh diye hain chadhne ko khula aasmaan
    F#------------------A#m-----Bm------------------F#--
udne ko sau pankh diye hain chadhne ko khula aasmaan
    D#sus4/G#----D#m--------F#------C#------G#m------D#m---
mudne ko ....hai karvat karvat .... aur badhne ko....

hmm i think it s good

i only differ at one chord
    shouldn't that G#m be G# major?
    as boobka pointed out
i decoded the chords a few wks back but didnt find time to post them

I don't quite agree with G#maj. It doesn't fit with the scale of the song at all (which is D# natural minor). I tried it and it sounds quite discordant. Will check it again though...

if anyone of u can try this combo
(Em Am B) and the last part he plays some 3 note lead in the rythm
    E ---- 2 3 5 -------
    B --------------------
If u feel this is closer to the original, i will figure out the entire song..

If you are talking about chords when you say Em, Am, B - then it's NOT close to the original
