REQ: Tere Bin by Rabbi Shergill chord positions and strumming pattern.

hey there brethren,
i'm gonna' be married on the 13th of April. for the sangeet, i've decided to surprise my punjabi in-laws and my bride by singing tere bin. it's a soulful song, very sweet.
i tried it. somebody told me it plays
E, A and B.
Don't sound right in open.
Could somebody tell me the positions for the chords and the strumming pattern too?

you should listen to the song. it's quite the kind of song that can get your girl flip for you, coz' it's always talking about how you've flipped for her. the strumming is pretty much like Pearl Jam's "Daughter", on Versus.
i've been seeing my to-be-wife for 7 years now. we're both doctors.
the other side of us is our music. i sing for my brother, my teacher, my band in mumbai, and my band in hyderabad.
not too much of a satrianisque guitarists. but can play rhythm, do play rhythm. also diatonics, pentatonics, arpeggios etc. etc.
anyways, i hope i get the chord positions on this forum. coz' i got only 11 days to go, and i'm not punjabi, my girl is. so you know how critical her and her folks are gonna' be about my punjabi. add to that, i'm half a telugu and half a marathi. imagine what our kids are gonna' be like.

yeah dude, 'm from Sion. i passed out in 2000. thereafter i studied hospital management from Apollo, Hyderabad, Medical Law from NLSIU, Bangalore and Medical Informatics from Medvarsity. 'tis strange that you know i'm from sion. are you studying at LTMMC?

thanks pratcool.....good stuff that. but tell you what. i tried it in the key of E, and that sounds more close. anyways the key of G sounds right too, but not like the original one. but hey everything is sweeter in G ain't it? I mean G spot, G string, G maj etc etc.
Subhro, thanks for keepin' it fresh. i got' 'em finally. got something to work on atleast. i'm rather used to playing pink floyd, coldplay, clapton, syd barrett and that kinda' stuff. the strumming patterns differ so much everywhere.
and Nayan, a small world it is indeed. i used to hang out at VJTI a lot of times. and yes i know Shailesh, he used to be in the same hostel as i used to be in. good ol' days.

ur right....it is in E,but actually i've seen rabbi play the chords and i'm dead sure these are the chords.....try tuning your guitar 1 and a half step down.....then it'll sound the same.
and by the way....i'm just 15 and i started plaything the guitar bout 8-9 months back....so i'm not that good.

it is indeed good to hear from you guys and find that you're all well-wishers of mine. i'm sure i'll always hook on to igt to meet wonderful people like you.

well pratcool, it is amazing that you've picked up the guitar at such a tender age. you've got a long way to go then. don't ever part with it. i've been playing for 7 years now. only rhythm though. i'm actually more of a singer. my brother and another friend of ours were three guys who stepped into it together. i stuck with singing. my real expression lies there i guess. anyways i've stuck around with guitarists for quite a while and i know the tricks of the trade. my best friend has been playing in a band from assam for 9 years as the lead guitarist. he's been playing for 16 years now. i'm 28 actually, so you can guess where those long times pull in from. at 15, i remember i was mesmerized by pink floyd, and i still am. pratcool a few musical recommendations from ujjwal:

and yes i forgot pratcool, good work that, tabbin' the stuff. it sounds good enough in G. and it sounds sweeter too. so i'm gonna' sing it in the same key that you've tabbed the progression in. anyways are you sure about the C add 9? i tried it, but it doesn't fit in the interval.
