recording problem, how to save the files in mp3 format

    i guess i've been bit by the recording bug too, but i need ur help, guyz...

    i got sound recorder (windows), but i don't know how to save the files in mp3 format.. could u guyz help...

    i guess im in the worng forum, but as i see many peole to have posted their recordings here, i thought of asking u guyz here itself...

    please help me ppl....

    Windows sound recorder does not allow saving the files in mp3 format. Save your files in WAV format and then convert them in MP3.

    Download any freeware for wav to mp3 converter.

    thnx for ur reply, buddy..could u do me a little favour by naming a couple of softwares and also the possible sites i can download them from....

    you got zillions of them
    also you dont need to use the ancient method suggested. Nowadays you can save the recording directly into mp3 and many other formats.
    just search for some CoDecs if you wanna stick to the old method, or you could search for mp3 converters.
    I got all the stuff i needed with the config cd :p:

    download the new sound forge 7.0 ... this is cool and if u want to convert wav => mp3
    or mp3 => wav and many other formats then go in for dBpoweramp music conveter
    this is 2 gud .. just google it and u will get it

    yaar 4 recording use ADOBE AUDITION its da best, i mean i like it hahaha.
