Thats upto you, but usually while playing over C major chord progression (that I mentaioned) u play C major scale = Ionian.

Now C major scale = A minor scale (Aeolian).

The Dorian scale has a minor feel to it. Hence Instead of A minor scale, you play A dorian.

If you play C dorian over C major progression, THAT will sound bluesy, coz you are playing a minor sounding scale over a major sounding chord progression.

Oye, why is there a two second Gap @ 0:26.
    Same thing happens @ 0:48.

Good, it sounded well. Same thing as I said to BJR, I like it more when the runs/licks are having more variety like playing few notes at some octave and then jumping to higher or lower octave to continue.

But ofcourse, since yours was more like a song, too much variation might not sound very smooth.
