its mainly personal choice - and variax isnt a company name - i think its the model name - the company name is line 6
can't compare sound its a waste of time. if you want to compare quality and product value then thats a different story you know which guitar company as a company is better not who makes the best guitars.

have u guys tried all the guitars?...coz u cant just say its a preferable guitars only by its fame or coz dats the only one which u hv played....u know wat i am saying... no comments. i do buy ibanez though...reasonable priced, good reviews.
well i own a gibson...and infact i do have tried prs SE's (the guitar shop owner won't let me touch the artist series and customs...aargh!) , ibanez and variax...but you are right you can't judge a guitar unless you really know about it...but hey its all for fun!!! isn't it??? and these ratings are not OFFICIAL UH:!!

B.C Rich? Perfect? Far from it, and i'm sure not many of our esteemed members actually own a gibson nor played on one, but they're knowledgeable enough to know that a gibson is the best. And it is, really
