I'd like to learn how to play some music that sounds characteristical of india, would carnatic music be what im looking for? i've seen a lot of tabs in this section but i dont know what the rhythm would be. are there any tabs in this section that also have the actual song so i could download the actual song and play along to it? if someone could point me in the right direction here that would be cool thanks in advance, ryan
It would be better to incorporate elements of carnatic music - like playing appropriate scales over the usual chords ( again, scales, not ragas). You dont have to break your head over playing them the right way, just so long as you leave it at "elements" of carnatic music. If you're interested, I'll pm you a few interesting-sounding scales.
