yar i wana know from u guys do u know abt tht wht guitar tuning Metallica use on Concerts
if u guys saw live big day out 2004....fade of black,NEM,Master,
fade of black n NEM guitar tuning was't STD
so if u guys can tell me wht guitar tuning Metallica do on Concerts..

The albums till Metallica employed Normal tuning

Load onwards they started using 1/2step (= 1 fret) down tuning, i.e. tuning to:
Eb
Bb
Gb
Db
Ab
Eb

In Saint Anger they are tuned 3 frets down to C# ie:
C#
G#
E
B
F#
C#

Well,
if you listen to a riff, U know they are playing the open string muted (you can make that out easily)

Tahts it. U tune your guitar according to that.
Like most of the Metallica riffs have open E string Palm muted.

That is your starting point.
