Purple Haze

This isn't a submission or a tab but it fits here.
In Purple Haze, how do u play the 3rd and 5th fret barre and the licks. I can't play that. Is is fingerpicking? Can someone give me the left hand fingering?(Not the Tab). Thnx

Why dont you watch the video and try to figure it out ?
You can get it off any P2P ...
As far as I know people cannot play Hendrix using normal chords/tabs & techniques... Then again I might be wrong..

whats wrong with this one dude .. looks pretty simple to me .. you can finger pick or hold it as barre its all depends on what sounds better for you

 

Ok lemme get this right first:

Your problem is how to play the b,g and D strings and E string, but avoid the A string?

With plectrum too, you need to utilize your fingers.
Thumb or plectrum should pick the E string, and the remaning three strings should be picked by the remaning three fingers

Use your thumb to play the low E and lightly touch the A string to mute it.

 

^ But then while playing with fuzz or distortion wont it introduce a chuck/click sorta muted sound?

 

I guess... but it will be easier to play
