problem with summer of 69??

hi guys... now we all know that summer of 69 is a real gem. i often play it on my acoustic guitar. but i have a problem. when i reach the point ''those were the best days of my life'', it is followed by a beautiful guitar riff which is played as follows--

B----0------2-------3---------2------------0--2
G------2-------2--------2----------2-----------
D--------2--------2--------2----------2--------

now this is ok. but if u listen to the song, this sounds low.

plz someone suggest how to make this part sound a bit higher like the one in the song............

 

i dont find anything wrong with the arpeggios.
they are on D Dsus2 A Asus2

check ur guitar tuning.

i think it's o.k. maybe u feel it because u play it on the acoustic ... hmm ... try playing that riff on chords ...

 

i think Asus4 sounds better than Asus2

 

^^even Asus4 is included in the song.
the actual pattern is
Asus2 A Asus4 A Asus2 A.
and the same is followed for D.
