the only prob with me n my guitar is that i cant sing while playing guitar ... im not a begginer ... im playin guitar from 2 years .... i can tune de guitar ... after some time i:ll have a band inshallah ... but i cant sing while playin .... i am epilaptic ... i think this prob is from epilapcy .... plzz guyzz help me .... i:ll be soooo great full of u guyzzz.......
Try only easy songs first - like Yaaron by KK, which only has 2 chords. You'll be able to sing (and play the guitar without thinking). Play the music while u play. Some songs are too hard to play and sing, even for pros.

Well i dunno bout epileplsy... but i think ur havin trouble cuz when u sing and play simultaneously, ur brain works in 2 different directions at once, and that's kinda neat. so anywayz, u hav to get ur brain used to playing something that sounds different than wut ur singing. i think u should start out wid summin like mera pyar by zaki... it has quite a few chords, n' i'm assumin that u kno how to switch chords cuz u said u've been playin for 2 yrs... so try and sing along to that... if ur having trouble, just do i slowly, first get the guitars right, and then get ur singin right. another thing is, that for me, i have to sorta concentrate on the lyrics more than my playin, so mostly, i put the playin in my subconcious when i'm singing. and that seems to work most of the time.

dude epilipsey is only a problem when u have flashing lights or your infront of a screen or something is flashing. anyhow, keep practising and once your familiar with the chord progression.. and strum pattern then u will be able to sing along too.. start off with something easy and real slow. ..i remember when i started of i played single strums bcoz i found chord changes hard to make while strumming and singing. so dont let it discourage you..good luck!
@hannan I had the same problem when i started and this is what i did .... Take a simple song as suggested by umagu.... for example Tere Liye by Vital Signs 1) Listen to the song till u r sure u know the complete lyrics and understand the rhythm. 2) Take the chords and try to hummmm first not sing! 3) Play slow, reduce the tempo if u need to. 4) One u have mastered the chords for the song then try to increase the tempo and sing along 5) practice! practice! practice! The above 5 steps are the easiest way to learn how to play and sing at the same time. It has nothing to do with epilepsy so dont think ure not able to do it because of some medical condition! try humming the song along with playing also try singing the song in ur head while playing (not out loud) gradually, with practice, u'll be able to sing while playing
reply hello hannan, same problem with me, but now i can say this is not problem. the only thing is the shame. ya tum mano ya na mano but shame is the problem and nothing . u sing song without taking care of people and try to good be singing best. best of my luck.
