dude what are you talkin about??????^^^^^ People who play fast never need to know the notes per second!!!
@ Wizard:Cheers. I'm beginning to suspect that you are the author of the list @ Nanda: The uselessness is in the diseased desire to measure notes per second, not the desire to play music. Its not typing you know where speed is a goal in itself, its music for gods sake!
Good I didn't see any of these useless things : .. it might be a pleasure to da eyes .. but i believe in melodious tones rather than so fast ones
Not about that ... when u know wht r the real fast songs u can practice those so that u are more comfortable playing stuffs fast ... I know all ppl when they practice a solo ... try to play at a faster speed during practice so that they r comfortable at a lower speed when the play live or jam with the band ......
The oddest ones I have seen so far: Shawn Lane-Uma Haimavati: 19/16 Explorer's Club-Explorers Club" 25/16 Some song by Toto-Havent been able to figure out the time yet
I am strongly tempted to quit and join IT Does Patni have openings? Odd is anything besides 4/4 and 6/8 I think.
Why dont they start "measuring" music like this? I mean in drumming, such a thing could make more (more is a relative term) sense, but why the hell do they do it on guitars?
i feeel good to have witnessed this.....i love that track though........melodious and fast....lovely.....
Yup even i wonder that ... Our mind cant think more than some 8 notes per second .. Wonder how thwy can do it !
most of the names on the top of list are not picked notes, but played legato. at least flying in a blue dream is. legato is WAY faster than shredding.
The first song is actually all picked. I have the song. Basically the note degenerates until the point that you can only hear the pick attack. Hes removed his thumb from the back of the neck and is doing vey fast slides while picking. And its not true that legato is faster than picking..its just that as you play faster, note clarity will decrease as you are picking.
