The so callled art (real rock music)are also part of the music industry,and it involves consumerism

case and point
METALLICA
They became less art and more commerce after the napster issue
St anger would have been a better album if the hadnt sued napster

Why and how?
 
The rock industry is a big circus and its overrated

Most so called rock critics(posers)know noting about music
their taste is inflenced by wat they read from other sources

i know this because i used to love linkin park but after reding a lot of materials tharshing nu metal i have sort of coming to dislike them

i know very little about music to discuss the merits or demerits of St anger
and im not pretending to do so
people should listen to what sounds good to them
after all its entertainment

Everything is ultimately profit oriented. How will you make music if you aint having food in your belly and bed to sleep on?

Regarding Linkin Park: I still like them inspite of all the Nu-Metal (or Poo metal as the posers call it) bashing.
Why should I care what posers like or not?

Anyway I dont listen to music by genres.
Too bad you got carried away by them.

Why should you care whether the artist is doing for his expression or for money as long as it appeals to you.
