Slash: this is the man for me, his style is very smilar to mine ... very very similar ..
and yeah where is tommi? ... i mean his sinister looks and his gothic SG guitar with sterling silver cross inlays ...oooo ... how can one forget him??

Why no Jimmy Page on this list? Among the mere mortals you listed, he's by far The God.

 

man thats crap..i dont even think it would take anybody who has been here long enuf...seen any of my posts....would have any doubts as to who i voted for....
i think slash is better then hammet any day...his solos are cooler...much cooler.....and they sound good and are cool to play too....he is amazing live....and i really dont think he has technical problems.........that apart he is really really humble...........
its wierd its only at IGT that slash has such a short fan following........ but eitherwys at the moment he is at the top so..yay!! :grin:

 

dude jimmy page was good but his live performances were crap......he used to screw up too much

 

For me, Kirk Hammet is the best in this tiny list. And my favourite is Jimmy Page.

 

Slash was the reason i picked up guitar.
But from the list i would pick Angus Young.
Nobody can cover Ac/Dc songs.

 

And kirk hammet doesnt deserve a space here.
come there are many great guitarists ten times better that kirk u didnt mention.

its all 2 do with his style of playing for me. it luks like wen he is playing he doesnt give a crap bout any one else, hes just playing for the fun of it. many ppl say they do this. but for slash u can actually c this in his videos, like november rain or sweet child o mine. oh and he doesnt suck at live playings i gotta the godfather video of his (where he does his own version of the theme song) tat man ROCKS
