Please help me buy a guitar[Put a lot of research into it]

    Ok now this is no random post about wanting to buy a guitar........

    My exams are to get over on 9th April,and on D-Day i am planning on buying an electric guitar and an amp......

    I have gone through models of electric guitars and amps,and have picked out the ones i like......you can either read all the data or just read the raw data and comment.......

    Personally I think among the amplifiers the micro-cube is a good choice....
    Among the guitars the Affinity stratocaster is good.....

    The total comes upto 10000+6000=16000
    It is hence in my budget,
    Also comments on the GB&A Lespaul Copy model are appreciated as it is available in a store @ 7500

    you could get Ibanez GSA 90 with is better than the both...
    Go for roland 20 watt.

    My choice wud be Squier Strat or Yamaha pacifica(known for its superior build quality and good tone) + Roland Microcube(rulezzz over all other amps).

    buy a fender strat. with roland cube 15w, dis combo is pretty awesum....

    da cube is pretty handy and easy to carry too if you want to go for performances..........

    but dont you wanna go in for a distortion pedal??

    i mean you cannot actually change da effects in mid of a performance on an amplifier!!!!!!!!!!!!

    dude help me get a good guitar........my budget would be upto 20000 for the guitar and max of 7000 for the amp!!.....i need sumthin with a good tone+whammy bar....sumthin that gives me good distortion n leads........my style of music ranges from scorpions to sepultura...if somebody's selling a used esp/dean/jackson it would be great....help.........

    thanks for the reply "distorted"...happy that someone answered finally...can you be precise in which exact model in ibanez rg series are you recommendin....anyway my other options are.....cort vx-2v,...ibanez-GRG-150,....ibanez-GRG-170dx,....ibanez GRG-270,....ibanez GRX-20,.....is there somewhere i can get a used jackson or esp for around 20k?......

    you can get a brand new ESP AX50 for 17k...........but then the quality suffers........The Ibanez are better in this range than ESP's or Jackson's......look for Greg Bennett Avion series or Torino series...............

    Greg Bennett > Ibanez > ESP > GB&A> Squier...............

    thanks for the reply "angel of sin".......ill look into your recommendations......what about cort vx-2v....got my eye for it(but i guess its mainly bcos of the looks n decent review and falls inside my budget!!)....suggest me something good for shredding.....i am into hard rock and thrash metal....main influence includes eddie van halen,mathias jabs and steve vai......

    the greg bennett's looks great....major les paul influenced....the bajaao.com looks like dsnt have the torino series but they have the avion's....love the interceptor 2 in greg bennett...please comment on it..as i like to dive bomb i prefer it....suggest somethin thats got a whammy bar......
