hi buddy, u can get Hobner Acoustic Guitar @ Rs.2500 gb&a would cost around Rs.3500 pluto @ Rs.4000 gb&a and pluto are imported guitars and are good. Hobner is Indian guitar but good for basic learning..
One thing i have found out about chennai is that audio equipments are quite a bit more expensive here. A Gb&a could cost 3500 here while you could pick one up for 2700 in other places. I have been to most of the top shops in chennai, and all of them seem to be rippin you off. Stay away from laksham sruthi, they charge atlest 1000 Rs more for a piece.
I dont know about tambaram but there are a couple in adayar and try and you could try and get one home. And to buy there are a few shops.. ProMusicals near don bosco.. Shruthi musicals near besanagar beach.. Saptaswara at royapuram. PS: i $uck at spelling
