    @death_metal: Good thought bro. Great thought if u use it on an acoustic. If electric, stick to Stubbys. Find the smaller ones, 2mm perhaps. They are great for shredding.

    i use any and every plectrum yaar - wtf duz it matter 0 its in ur fuingurs and wristss how fast u can pick - and not to ferget ur skill - i mean 0 usin a 2mm plectrum isnt suddenly gonna make u led zepplin...

    No, I am thinking of using the Jazz IIIs for electric playing. I find that Stubbys have a horrible pick attack; apart from that they are quite awesome for speed playing.

    For acoustics I would most likely use a JD 0.7mm or 0.8mm Nylon pick.

    @death_metal: Yea u cud say that, but they're quite stiff, those stubbies. Jazz IIIs have a matte finish, so they are quite attack-happy picks. Try Tortex Jazz picks, hard ones. Even more brighter attack. Nylon picks are good for strumming on acoustic. Try Tortex Standard series picks too. Give a lot of grip & volume on acoustic. Peace.

    BTW u ppl are awesome. u can talk bbout picks 4ever.plz go on.

    what is the correct way to hold the pick. with thumb and index or with thumb index and mid in a triangular form.

    where to strike on the guitar near the pickups, near/on the frets where.
    and my pick swet's after me playing it for an hour or so. what shall i do for it.

    yep - ur thread is real helpful....its givin me a chance to laugh....
    well - holding a plectrum is any way ur comfortable.... see the thing is its all bout ur comfortable... the more ur comfortable - the better u can play....

    Yo can strike the guitar whereever u please., only take care u strike the strings. You'll get a different sound at different places.
