Yes, it's too soft, too small distortion for hard-rock etc. guitar players
Amplitube can't produce Korn, Linkin Park, Muse, Fear Factory etc. sounds too...
It did distortion but not hard enough.

I use GuitarFX full time cause its much more easy to use than amplitude. You can? well show in this place Korn or Fear Factory style sound created on amplitube! It means you must show wav with source unprocessed guitar sound and show the preset for amplitube wich make Korn or Fear Factory style of sound from THIS wav! It's necessary coz were cases people record guitar via Marchall or Meza Boogie and then told that it was created on amplitude.

He he No.. I have amplitube Live.. On My Mac not the normal Amplitube Plugins... The Mac is like a Processor independent.. So i can change effects using my joystick which is Midi enabled..

Realy I tried 15 different software guitar effects like Amplitude, Revolver and GuitarFX but different. I found all (!) softwares have big problem in re-creation early Metallica (l.p."Mettalica", like "Sad but true"), modern Korn, relatively old Fea Factory and some most hard sounds from Linkin Park. May be GuitarFX is most suitable coz it has 16 EQs wich can be inserted in any plce of fx chain, but even GuitarFX can't exactly re-create "voodoo" of modern hard metall... This is the sound I made on GuitarFX 3.04 to simulate old analogue (discontinued now) great pre-amp from "Rocktron MaXe".
Comparison Rocktron MaXe vs GuitarFX 3.04 (159 KB, mp3)
Of course, reverb, flanger, chorus - all these are perfect from software, but power hard chords lost something important after software with compare even with simple BOSS MT-2... Agree? Or my hearing make me wrong? Any ideas how to re-create this standrd Marshall AVT sound (wav, 1.2 MB)

I'm being a part of this discussion cause i learnt a lot.. I use a Processor also so Its kind of not revelent to me.. Good comparision.. But I still feel Quality wise Amplitube has an edge.. cost wise its GFX..
