either thru the microphone jack or (preferably) the line-in one. we discussed this a looong time back... look for one of the discussions like 'recording thru the computer' somewhere in these forums.

I guess the hissing issue got left in the middle in the earlier thread: https://indianguitartabs.com/sho...ording+computer This really is a problem. I guess using a preamp before the SOUND IN might work. I gotto try it though.
Use a preamp like Rocktron Intellifex or something.. Or a TC Electrinic G Major. Use a Noise gate Pedal from BOSS.. Rs 2600 Ex-bangalore..
Well I have a preamp and a noise filter, I built it myself. Will try it and get back with the results.
Sure, but I gotto find the circuit diagram first (I built it like 2-3 years back). I'll find it and get back to you. Cheers,
jayanth i cud help u with a "dhaasu" pre amp ( FOR GUITARS)diagram and an AMP to follow.Let me search it on my comp and will send it in a day or two.
okay guys i've got my electric, and i've got the converter and connnected the thing to the pc, i've downloaded guitarfx and i get a clean sound from my comp speakers so i'm close..but how do i use the effects?i've been fiddling about but with no luck can someone please help me set up a chorus and wah wah setting?
Your Sound card may not support RTP or Real Tiem Processing.. Use an ASIO driver for your sound card adn try again.. @ Jijo Please post the same in the other forum where we posted the circuit diagrams.. ??
Yes, I use PC as guitar amp. All you need Windows XP/2000 (optional 98SE/ME with wdm drivers for your sound card, no ASIO needed) and realtime effects software GuitarFX 3.04 from https://GuitarFX.Net It's free! Also you could read this article: https://www.geocities.com/guitarfx_2001 ENJOY!
But on my PC/Windows XP/C-Media sound card GuitarFX works without delay too. And GuitarFX is free, but Amplitude price is $300, so if you have $300 you definitely could buy Line 6 POD 2 wich much more better any software processor!
Thats True.. I got amplitube free with Pro Tools Digi 002.. But the trials also work amazing.. Have you tried T Racks??
