See , now this Am has 2 different kinds of way of playing . So what is the name of the Am in 1st format and the 2nd format ? what is the difference also? I'm more familiar with the chords in the 1st Format , so i'm having difficulties to play the songs posted here as they are more into the 2nd format kind .

your second formats till now have been power chords

why dont u look up any chord chart available u will get various positions for all the chords

Am for eg is 002210 or 577555. 577xxx= A5 power chord.

 

Am is 002210 ? Hmmmm , I've seen all the guitar tutorial books and at the back they have a chart named 'Chord Charts' and Am is defined as 012200 .

Seelan- you are looking at it upside down... jay has represented the chord starting from the lowest string first.

 

the norm usually is EADGBE
