Can anyone please enlighten me as to what OM really is??? Meaning that Ive just seen a song of their's on MTV India - titled "Maula" - hearing them, I find quite a resemblance to FuZon... and the other fusion-rock artists but like... gimme some more info!
I too heard this song Om - Maula and it sounds pretty good. I too was wondering who they are, i think they have another song Om - Mohana not sure though. I was searching the net almost nothing came up but just two ringtones of the songs Om - Maula and Om - Mohana.
ALRIGHT GUYS OM is a MUMBAI based band One of my close friends SRIRAM is the lead singer and composer of the band. They have signed up with TIMES MUSIC, and the ALBUM ROCKS Sriram is a classically trained great singer, and the album comprises of catchy tunes in a fusion of Indian and Western tones. Anything else u wanna know??
Sriram is heavily influenced by carnatic classical, and A. R. Rehman We have done some 100 shows together, and he sings rehman, sukhvinder, nusrat, hariharan, shankar mahadevan etc with super ease. Their second composer, Bobo, the guitarist, is heavily influenced by Rock he is an ex-Shiva guitarist. About the album its too early for me, I havent given a second listening. But i loved it at one go. Compared to Rabbi's album which has only 2 / 3 good tracks this album doesnt feature so much of multi-genre-blending tracks in one album. Its one theme - catchy fusion music. Very impressive guitar work by Bobo, and nice keys arrangement by Amit
