This is one of my favourites... written by Robert Frost...would like to share it wid u ppl !! Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf, So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day Nothing gold can stay.
Aaah... Blasphemy! Robert Frost, one of my poet idols... the one who motivated me to pick up a pen and play with words. You might have read a few poems by him in school - Mending Wall, Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening, The road not taken... Do a google on him.
About the poem... I love poems like this which on surface has a literal meaning but could mean much much more, depending on the reader. It can be appreciated by readers of all ages.
Like Frost inspired me to write poetry, Bond inspired me to pick the pen in the first place. Love his writing style... simple n contemplative.

This poem is especially powerful if you read it in S.E.Hinton's The Outsiders. vini- I agree with esgallindeion....BLASPHEMY
yes...I was disappointed though. It was then that I finally understood why a movie can never really match a book(and eventually, the reverse)
