Nirvaana - Wht do u think ?

Guys i registered to play for Sunday Jam with the name Nirvaana .. But i got this mail ... from them ...

Your band name is almost like the real Nirvana, except it has an extra A. Please change the band name, since it might lead to copyright problems. The sponsors may not be pleased with such bands names where it sounds like well established ones.

I think it's quite fair....after all, they are the ones who will have to handle legal issues.



And it's just like saying you study at M.I.T. when you're studying at Manipal Institute of Technology.....while it is legal and acceptable, "MIT" is pretty much taken by the one in Boston.

not exactly This is not my band or anything .. It was roinnies idea .. and even chintan wanted to do something ... so this is gonna be a 1 night band ... Chintan wants to play drums on it itseems ... lets see ... we'll jam for a day or 2 and get on stage ...

Just a small idea. With Nanda, me and Chintan. Nanda would play Bass and do vocals. I will play Drums, Guitar and vocals. Chintan would do Drums and Guitars. Basically it's for fun and it's a one night might. I had registered the name as Neervaana but Nanda changed it 'cos he's the BAND LEADER and he is the DESICION MAKER.
