Hi Rajesh, I tried Suresh's chords but they sounded different for me, i will try to post what all i was able to decipher through my little ear training; meanwhile you too please try, let us wait for reply from Roentgen who is very active and provides chords very fast and neat

 

strum pattern is DDU DDDU for pallavi, in anupallavi just quick quarter note strums as the chords change in quick succession

 

Quite close thamboo. This song is full of sus4 chords.
You are right about chords in the video. They are way off!
I remeber Gangai Amaran mentioning in some show that he was on the guitar for this song and it was in F#.

Thank you very much Rajesh, the Anupallavi chords now sound perfect but F#sus4 is quite challenging to play in Guitar with the root note in 6th string,
F#7sus4 is easy

 

now only seeing this thread... Rajesh.. thats a great way of ending the thread... its just great...just wondering about E chorsds... is required ?

@Venu - Agree. I think only A is played, but the melody note is an F#...so I guess you can play an A, A6 or F#m7.

Its a C#sus4 as i observed too...
IR puts bass notes at right places so that chords and bass mixes making us too tough to judge them..
