U need to spend more time on acoustic. And thats GREAT that u have really improved ur speed, technique, control in JUST 1 and half months.

    GET AN ACOUSTIC!!!! :-|
    Yamaha, Walden, Fenders - Around 8 - 10K
    Granada, Pluto - Around 4 - 6k

i know what your thinking...its totally natural to be skeptic... :)
And i dunno..i may have to improvise.. :|
    Anyways...

I played Cort AD810 and Yamaha F310 and Ibanez V50
Cort was kinda buzzy..but cheap..I mean you can live with it i guess...
Yamaha was awsome...you can hear the "HUM" and can jump outta joy :)
Ibanez had the old country Texas style in it...it was kinda like it had good sense of low pitch...i dunno how to explain Ibanez
    What do you guys think..??
I'm gonna use this for few months for and then jump to electric...because i ran into a few experienced people and they saw my playing and said "you are fine but still go for acoustic for a while and then shift" :|

Yamaha F310 is a good guitar
F210 is good too (second hand)
but I doubt you'll get a decent solid top in 5-6k
just dont screw it up by buying a 5.8k semi acoustic pluto
put in more money and get the yamaha acoustic

    for a total of 21k get a Yamaha RGX(versatality)/cort X6(features) and Orange 15/Laney 12
If you only have around 20k definitely dont go for peavey vypyrs

brands to stay away from in ur price range
    bc rich
    ltd
    fender
    ibanez

if you're sure that electric is your calling dont waste too much time on acoustic
    thats my advice for you
but then again i hardly consider myself a pro

well every hard rock song can have an unplugged version...so whats wrong in playing an acoustic...and moreover you play a cort ad18 and thats in the 6k budget right? And you have already played ibanez v50 ,yamaha f310 and cort ...and you are used to them...so why dont you increase your acoustic guitar's buying budget to 20k...there's no harm buying a 20k acoustic guitar...coz upto 10k you wont get much difference ...except yamaha fg700s...but i guess prices have increased...do you like heavy metal or classic rock like mark knopfler thing?...

Yea...but i don't want to...the guys who play unplugged version like the tone of a acoustic
And i like the tone of electric than acoustic....electric drives me to play/experiment more...but with acoustic its like just to play a song thing...
And some people suggested to gain some experience over acoustic and then switch over to electric.thats why a low budget acoustic guitar...

Well if you are pretty sure that you will stick to electric guitar.
    Go ahead with it.
If you don't like the tone of acoustic - buying one will only make you repent when you see another electric.

let us know what you eventually do
i hope low budget doesnty mean too low
in my opinion if electric is your calling dont waste time and money on a acoustic
you can always buy one later if you wanna revert to acoustic music
keep in mind however that you cant play an electric without electricity

if u mean the gio series
    then gart series

    i think its 8k?
    i've played this
it is very light for an electric
i didnt know that Peavey made guitars before i played it...
    i didnt really like it
but i guess thats what you get for being cheap
i wouldnt recommend this to anyone
if i had only 7-8k for an electric then i would trust a tulsi over this

i guess..i'm gonna hold on the buying thing for a while...and may be increase the budget of electric for the meantime and also gain some experience over acoustic....the only thing i find difficult is
the old country texas kinda style music...thats tricky for me.. :/
    What you say guys ??

You mean that music can't be played over Acoustic?
AS far as I know - it is MEANT for acoustic and was adapted for playing on electric.

Vader - electric guitar being light is a boon when you are standing up (in your jam room or on stage) - and how come Tulsi guitars available for 7-8K??? He has reduced the prices?

Volcano, the cheapest guitar you should get, if there are no other options, is the Yamaha Pacifica 012. I own one and its amazing for the price. I haven't played many guitars in my life, but the pac012 is the best guitar for the price. Dude if you wanna get an electric, get it man. No one is gonna hold you back. If you get a Pacifica 012 and a peavey vypyr 15, I can guarantee you that it'll sound good and play good. And after a couple of months, you can change the bridge pickup. The general consensus is that, new pickups on an agathis body guitar will suck. Because agathis is a dead tone wood. Well from my experience, agathis sounds better than basswood and its much more warmer. A lot of people in the seymour duncan forum advised me to get the Seymour Duncan Distortion SH-6 for the bridge and they said that it'd be good. Its gonna be much better than the stock pickup. It doesnt take a Post-Graduate to realize that. Go for it.

all that matters about a guitar is not the wood, pickups or anything else
it is that the guitar should sound good to you
because u have to play it
