Power chords are not exactly 'chords'. Basically you need three different notes to form a chord. But power chord uses only two. Its more like 'harmonics'. That's why the power chord for both C and Cm is same. So if you're asking "is thr a power chord for every other normal chord????" then the answer is not exactly.

    uhh..

by text book definition..chords are 3 or more than 3 notes played together.
power chords uses 2 notes..the root and the 5th note of the root.
so the name is slightly dodgy.but its being used..hehehe..so its ok i guess..

so they arent minor or major chords..

    they are the root+5th note...
so its just a C power chord..or a power chord with another key.
