well, I dont think I have it....so are u saying that I can install the software if i get the cd of the motherboard??
if the soundcard is integrated thing look for the motherboard cd its there thats all u need to do install n perhaps restart n u get ur sound back
Just for my personal info: What is soundmax? https://www.soundmax.com/ https://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/soundmax.htm Am confused. Is it a software or a hardware with software?
well, i am not very knowledgeable either.. tho i guess its a hardware with a software....i guess there is a sound chip installed in the C.P.U...and there is a software to it as well... well, soundmax is what that will enable u to hear the audio files...like all sounds in the computer is related to this audio drive... I am not very sure either....maybe someone else will answer u with much more confidence
Hmm, ok I think your soundmax is a soundcard with many different features. You need to install the driver and application program into you OS so that you can use it. So if you purchased this system, you should be having the installation CD with you. Otherwise, your Intel motherboard (or whichever brand you have) also contains a rudimentary soundcard (whcih is usually pretty good for most of our real life applications). For activating this motherboard soundcard, you need to go to BIOS and specify it. Ofcourse, this step is the last step, incase you are not able to find you Soundmax installation program.
arre yaar it's simple... If you do not have the sound driver cd then go to www.intel.com and choose wot ur motherboard needs and download! BTW:- Give me the full name of your motherboard (Like i have "intel D845 GVSR"), i will give you the link you need. Just download that and install!!
hahahhahah, muhhahhahahha.....:cry1: :cry2: did i fail to mention that i am a freshman in the computer field...well, i will TRY to find the full name of my motherboard... god, feels like i am speaking gibberish here...
ok, I need your help again..i got the cd with the drivers in it...but the issue is, I cant find an option called drivers in it...they just have a modem helper program in it...so is it because I already uninstalled soundmax....or is it because i am blind and cant find the option..... please help ..lease:
M.P. Dis will work (Especially if you have an intel motherboard)... Open da CD drive : Go to Software > Driver > Sound Find the setup.exe or setup.msi file. Double click it... Install it and restart.... Close ur comp and go to sleep
ooh people.i told you..the only thing in that CD that i could find was a program for modem helper ...and it says it has the audio drivers in it....oh psh, i will figure it out somehow....thanks anyway
well, the cd wasnt any use...i downloaded it from dell.com... thank you guys for your help though..... i can hear music again!!
