into the face patriotism. I eat popcorn while they play national anthem. and sanju dude....wtf man...U in India?????????
Why The Eff should anthem be played anywhere (especially in cinema halls)? Is this another way to ramm "patriotism" into the people? I guess Stalker and Wizard sum up the situation pretty well. Btw, doesnt this thing happen in Bombay? What a crappy place *rolls eyes* :
iska matlab u wer also least bothered lookin here and there...: : ..saale, mumbai aaya tu ??????
Here, in bangkok, the national anthem is played before every movie(in the theatre),u have to stand up pay ur respects to the king and queen. everybody does it. no problems. u have to stand up before any program, like graduations ceremonies in schools etc.
Haha, i'd love to see the US National Anthem play before movies, the right wing conservatives, moderates, liberals would rush to the gates of the Senate thundering down on them complaining about a gross violations of Liberty. Me? Well, the female who sings it is quite attractive, so um, i dont mind
oh damn.. i didnt know it.. I haven't come across a single theatre, even heard of any theatre playing national anthem.
Absolutly Not...I have had the same experence that you have heard each time I go to watch a movie... Ok while many would respect...not all are bothered... I think it is a stupid idea of playing the Anthem before the movie... It is better not to play the Antherm and let it get insulted rather then playing it..
Nope England used this practise back in the sixties but then stopped. I Never stood up for it then, knowing the imperialist history. Went for a Holiday in Pakistan in the seventies and visited a cinema. Again the national anthem played and I refused to stand up. Knowing the military dictatorship was exploiting the nation. Its all about control. I prefer to remain independant.
people here worship the king like GOD. they have to crawl in the presence of his majesty, unl;ess he tells them not to.he'es a very generous person though.
