anyways....yar i have been playing the guitar since 3-4months but still i am unable to switch chords fast....like it takes me 2-3secs to switch a chord whilst playing a song, which just disturbs the overall flow of the song....

Practice man... Dats the best solution... Evrybdy faces such difficulties in the beginning... When u try to play songs dont break the rhythm, keep the strumming on evn if u dont switch the chords fast, gradually the shifting of chords will become smooth... but make it sure, u keep the strumming going on properly...

N ya, one more thing, while trying to shift fastly, make it sure u dont make strings go dead... hold the chords properly, keep the strumming going on... It will take a month or two, gradually u'll improve.. But, work hard.... Gudluck.

Hey dude im a beginner guitarist too
the way i learnt to switch chords fast is to use a metronome.
set it to 60BPM just as a start and take a simple progression like D-C-G-C-D
    and strum like this
    chord D C
    beats 1 2 3 4 change chord before 1 2 3 4 CONTINUE to next
    Strum D U D U the next beat D U D U chord

Slowly increase your BPM later u can Switch chords for each beat of the metronome
This will make ur switches lightning fast

    Hope this helped
    Cheers
