hahah when i got my seven string, the solo from Where The Slime Live is the first thing i learned. ah the days of being a guitarist.
Nearly every solo by James Murphy and Alex Skolnick could make this list. Muhammed Suicmez would have been there since hes sucha bad ass guitarist, but too bad almost all Necrophagist solos sound simmilar.
Just because more people listen to classic metal, those thigs make it to this list. ONLY TECHNICALITY SHOULD BE LOOKED AT TO BE FAIR.
Everyone has his/her own favourites, no doubt but my fav. is don't love me for the fun girl. but i love to play santana

i cant really list all my fav solos here but some that do deserve to make it to the list and that rent usually mentioned: tornado of souls:megadeth downfall/needled:children of bodom return to serenity:testament black wings of death:running wild maggot brain:funkadelic no more tearszzy osbourne
how come i aint on this list, i can play a c major scale, lol that counts as a solo... com on terrific try harder nxt time... dont just type sumtin in on google n copy n pste... thts cheap, real cheap
Why should only technicality be looked at on a list? There are million technical yet tasteless solos out there. Every Malmsteen/Rusty Cooley/Chris Impelliteri solo is technically very difficult but they all sound similar and lack taste. A solo should be musical and make sense in the song..otherwise its needless wanking. I dont care if its a one note solo (like Van Halen's intro to the Dreams solo)
I personally thought it criminal that Larry Carlton with Kid Charlemagne was at no. 88. But then again, I thought making a list was criminal too.
I meant, if technicality is the only thing that could be "measured", the feeling or the vibe that the solo gives is completely subjective. So i thought a fair (and useless) thing would be to have the 100 most technical solos as opposed to the "best solos"...
If you like atonal, dissonant leads (original aswell), try getting your hands on Special Defects' - Sol Niger Within. Or p2p "Fredrik Thordendal" and you should get a LONG song. I dont think you will be dissapointed. I love a lot of those leads (and there are a LOT) beyond words
This Man took this list form this site: https://www.torrentz.com/torrent_118596.html I think he might NOT even heard all the songs.
Agreee with you plus this HARSHKUMAR had posted a similar thread and similar response were given.. I dont like that list, ok many good guitar works but some dont desrve to be in that list. plus so many artist are not included... https://indianguitartabs.com/showthread.php?t=20911 I am sure this has been coivered a ZILLION times
