for one: it is easier to reach the higher frets such as the 21st in ibanez 24 fret guitars as compared to lps. experienced both - but the 23rd and 24th fret in ibanezes are hard to play and dont sound that great unless you really raise your action and that just makes them harder to play. secondly - how many different designs an you have for a guitar - if you start making different shapes we will keep seeing ugly monstrosities like that new kramer thingamajig somewhere in this forum. the basic shape of the guitar has existed for hundreds of years - before lps, fedners, etc.. also, ibanezes today are very different from fenders. i'll give you that much - the rg series was inspired by the fender talons. but the fender talons never really did very well and were discontinued a long time back. the ibanez rgs on the other hand, are best sellers.
i guess it boils down to personal preferences and the anatomical consideraions too to an extent...whatever works for you...whatever ive played..i dint think DCs make much of difff with a bolt on...lemme try a DC set neck someday..... but i like LP....as with 24 frets...am not used to them....i loose track of frets in them
I'm very impressed. I like the les paul so much that I had got a custom made and year ago. I would still buy the original if I had the money..... How much did the epiphone cost?
Hmm Just checked Ronnie's Les Paul. His checkered flag is a dream. Though the shorter neck length meant that my fat fingers would mess up at higher frets. And Les Paul having single cut away makes no diff at all.
very nice guitar.....les pauls are cool.....have fun with....hope you can handle it lol...anyways......gratzzz man!!!!!!!
